Based on our learning from the
Gandhinagar, we further proposed
upgradation of five more anganwadis in Rajkot Municipal Corporation. This intervention was also supported by a PEHEL foundation, a CSR arm of PNB
Housing Finance Limited.
Every anganwadi received complete
infrastructure upgradation, sanitary
facility improvement, ECD sensitive
toys and learning materials, external
swings and slides and other necessary
utilities such as small tables, chairs etc.
We have also provided LED television
along with learning program with 100s
of videos and audios for facilitating
learning at anganwadis.
Additionally we developed Bala Painting for each of this anganwadi inside as well as outside. We decorated campus walls with the quotes from the various leaders and freedom fighters. We also developed play areas wherever it was feasible.
PEHEL Smart Anganwadis at Rajkot are an example of state of the art ECD
sensitive anganwadis. Looking at the work done in Rajkot, PEHEL foundation was
recently honoured by Hon. WCD Minister Gujarat state Smt. Bhanuben Babariya
during a function in Rajkot. These anganwadis are ensuring ECD sensitive
environment for the children in Rajkot Municipal Corporation
